Symposium: "What solutions for living in and planning our communities at 50°C?"- Béthune, September 9
Our cities already have to contend with increasingly intense heat waves.

Tomorrow, they will have to face extreme temperatures that could reach 50°C.
How can we adapt them to remain livable, inclusive, and sustainable?
This is the central question of this symposium organized in Béthune, which brings together experts and practitioners to share concrete and inspiring solutions.

Our partner Luca Bertacchi, Director of Architecture and Urban Planning, will represent Bechu & Associés at the round table.

Our partner Luca Bertacchi, Director of Architecture and Urban Planning, will represent Bechu & Associés at the round table, alongside:
-
Franck Boutté, founder of Atelier Franck Boutté – Grand Prix de l’Urbanisme
-
Michèle Pappalardo, President of the Gustave Eiffel Foundation (former President of ADEME)
-
Guillaume Meunier, Technical Director of the "Nos villes à 50°" program at A4MT
All of them, together with moderator Christophe Rodriguez, will combine their expertise to imagine responses to the urban and architectural challenges posed by climate change.
Luca will in particular share:
-
Feedback from projects designed without air conditioning in hot climates,
-
The importance of nature-based solutions and the water cycle,
-
And an architectural vision focused on robustness, regeneration, and resilience.
A powerful moment to turn observations into action and inspire new practices in our territories.
