Its history is made of changes in purpose and operators.
Commissioned in 1852 by the director of the Summer Circus of the Champs-Élysées, the Winter Circus was built by Jacques Hittorf in just eight months. Its history is made of changes in purpose and operators that will lead to multiple successive modernization and decoration works. The operator since 1934 before becoming its owner twenty years later, the Bouglione family undertakes its complete renovation.
Emblematic place for its architecture and its past.
An emblematic place for its architecture and its past, the chosen intervention seeks to restore the building as close as possible to its original design by restoring identical structures, plasterwork and paintings while ensuring the implementation of durable materials and anticipating the technologies essential to the necessary evolution of circus arts.
