The urban project located in Aubervilliers constitutes the last stage of the city's transformation towards the southeast by urbanizing industrial wastelands.
The urban project is located in Aubervilliers and represents the final step in the transformation of the city towards the southeast by urbanizing industrial wasteland. It responds to three major expectations of urban development: the extension of the Léger-Félicité Sonthonax street to open up the northern part of the district, the revelation of remarkable industrial facilities and the organization of green spaces into landscaped pathways. The historical heart of the project includes renovated heritage buildings that will host townhouses, atypical apartments, and social spaces. The new district is designed around this historical core, with 13 collective housing buildings and local shops aligned along the new promenade and the adjacent streets. Vegetation plays an important role in the project, omnipresent and structured by the pathways, dominating the terraces where green roofs alternate with regular ones to create a fifth façade. The project’s challenge lies in finding a delicate and essential balance between the diversity and continuity of responses to be provided for a heterogeneous environment to be united without betraying it. The project is developed with a sustainable approach, featuring a major depollution operation and strict energy standards (RT 2012 -20% minimum - BBCA for an experimental building).
