Twenty years ago, in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Anthony Bechu began the construction of the EQUILIS project, then named STERIS, thus laying the foundations of an innovative architectural legacy resolutely oriented towards the future.
Today, our agency takes on the challenge of transforming this office building into a model of sustainability, bringing EQUILIS into the spirit of the times and into a new architectural era.
The transformation of the EQUILIS building is far more than a mere architectural project; it is a celebration of innovation, environmental responsibility, and urban renewal. This groundbreaking project embodies our values rooted in sustainability by combining rehabilitation, advanced technologies, and harmonious integration within the urban environment.

This project, which was already, at its initial conception in 2002, the first in the Issy-les-Moulineaux business district to follow sustainable standards, marks a significant transformation for the neighborhood. From its earliest stages, the EQUILIS site has already achieved a substantial reduction—between 15% and 35%—in the building’s carbon emissions compared to a conventional renovation.
This restoration is part of an unprecedented sustainability approach. Through the reuse of 165 tons of materials and the saving of 53 tons of waste, EQUILIS is redefining the standards of sustainable construction and architecture. This circular economy–driven approach reflects our unwavering commitment to environmental preservation and the reduction of the carbon footprint.
By using sustainable materials and recycling a large quantity of resources, while targeting prestigious environmental certifications such as BREEAM International level Excellent and BBCA Renovation, EQUILIS stands as an exemplary achievement in terms of sustainability.
An innovative project in step with a new technological era.
Nevertheless, the positive impact of EQUILIS extends far beyond its remarkable environmental performance. This project goes further by integrating technological innovations such as the Smart Building Management System (SMART BMS) and energy recovery solutions, ensuring a high-quality working environment for its occupants while minimizing energy consumption. Thus, EQUILIS embodies the perfect balance between modern comfort and respect for the planet.
By fostering social cohesion through welcoming communal spaces, promoting urban biodiversity with over 600 m² of outdoor green areas, and supporting sustainable mobility through dedicated infrastructures, EQUILIS fully embraces a vision of a more inviting city.
