Twenty years ago in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Anthony Bechu began construction of the EQUILIS project, then called STERIS, thus laying the foundations for an innovative architectural legacy resolutely focused on the future.

Today, our agency is taking on the challenge of transforming this office building into a model of sustainability, putting EQUILIS in step with the times and ushering it into a new architectural era.

The transformation of the EQUILIS building is far more than just an architectural project; it is a celebration of innovation, environmental responsibility, and urban renewal. This groundbreaking project embodies our values centered on sustainability by combining rehabilitation, advanced technologies, and harmonious integration with the urban environment.

EQUILIS, a breath of renewal beneficial to the urban environment.

This project, officially, and already at its initial conception in 2002, was the first in the Issy-les-Moulineaux business district to follow sustainable standards, marking a significant transformation for the area. From its very first stages, the EQUILIS construction site has already enabled a substantial reduction, between 15% and 35%, in the building’s carbon emissions compared to a conventional renovation.

This restoration is part of an unprecedented sustainability approach. With the reuse of 165 tons of materials and the saving of 53 tons of waste, EQUILIS is redefining the standards of construction and sustainable architecture. This approach, based on the circular economy, is proof of our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and reducing our carbon footprint.

By using sustainable materials and recycling a large quantity of resources, aiming for prestigious environmental certifications such as BREEAM International Excellent and BBCA Renovation, EQUILIS stands as an exemplary achievement in terms of sustainability.

An innovative project at the forefront of a new technological era.

Nevertheless, the positive impact of EQUILIS is not limited to its remarkable environmental performance. This project goes further by integrating technological innovations such as the intelligent building management system (SMART BMS) and energy recovery, ensuring a high-quality working environment for its occupants while minimizing energy consumption. In this way, EQUILIS embodies the perfect fusion between modern comfort and respect for the planet.

By fostering social cohesion through welcoming communal spaces, promoting urban biodiversity with more than 600 m² of outdoor green spaces, and encouraging sustainable mobility with dedicated infrastructure, EQUILIS is fully aligned with a vision of a more welcoming city.
