Our response is urban, architectural and programmatic.
The project concerns the reconversion of the hospital district of Saint Germain en Laye. Our response is urban, architectural and programmatic. We have worked on designing a new living space for all generations of the city and its international visitors, who will be able to find the "Saint-Germain spirit" there.
The newly created streets encourage loops and encounters.
We have taken the imprint of the pedestrian streets of Saint Germain, which we have transposed onto the district to respect the fabric, scale, and DNA of the city, and reveal its heritage. The result is a 100% pedestrian district organized between squares and small squares, where we find the route that exists between the castle square and the market square. The newly created streets encourage loops and encounters through a now very present nature in the city that allows everyone to hear the birdsong again.
