Like a geode, the Edison building opens to the city embracing the sun and releasing its course. The location and configuration of the terrain are favorable to the creation of a reference, a strong emblem; this approach and the choice to bring all the conditions of a comfort and an optimal relation to the nature will make base, allowing the users to appropriate the space and to thus make more well-grounded and perennial the durable aspirations of the building.
In order to highlight the workspaces, we have created a large patio flooded with natural light like an open greenhouse. The offices overlook this sunny garden in the heart of the building with an unobstructed view. The contribution of natural light in the workspaces is very important. It is not only about direct light passing through the window, it is also about indirect light reflected by the facades open to the south. During daytime working hours, this brightness contributes to the feeling of belonging to the outdoor space in addition to the great interior comfort it brings. This light simply allows all users to identify themselves in a friendly way around the open patio, plant, warm, protective and bright to promote well-being and mutual exchange.
The environmental ambitions of the project are important, they aim at the following certifications: BREEAM very Good WELL Building Gold BBC Effinergie E + C- RT 2012 -20%
