The Halles de Montrouge: an urban revitalization project combining functional mix, green spaces and respect for the environment
The Halles de Montrouge project aims to put people back at the heart of the neighborhood, it is designed for well-being and good living.

Bechu & Associés wins the Halles de Montrouge competition: an innovative urban project of 30,000 m².
The architectural firm Bechu & Associés, in collaboration with MUZ Architectes, has won the competition for the Halles de Montrouge project, initiated by the city of Montrouge and Lefebvre Sarrut. This ambitious project, which will cover an area of 30,000 m², aims to improve the quality of life of the neighborhood's inhabitants by offering a unique functional mix.
To be sustainable, a project must be born from its roots and each of our choices must be guided by the responsibility we have towards the living.

An innovative urban ecosystem around a central park.

At the heart of the project is a central park of 4,300 m², designed as a community convergence point and a haven of biodiversity. The Halles de Montrouge will also offer shops, a covered market, a nursery, a cultural and associative space, as well as mixed housing, including co-living and coworking.
The integrated approach of the project is distinguished by its desire to blend urban life, culture and respect for the environment. The emphasis is on sustainability, with the use of geo-energy and eco-responsible water management. Soft mobility is favored, and urban planning is focused on the well-being of residents.

The question of height is very important, it is a game of balance and proportion between the ground, the built surface and the surrounding buildings. The project fits into the existing urban fabric.

Bechu & Associés designs a sustainable neighborhood born from citizen consultation.

The result of significant citizen consultation, Les Halles de Montrouge are part of an urban revitalization and renaturation approach, dealing with the environmental and climatic requirements of today and tomorrow. This new neighborhood, scheduled for delivery at the end of 2028, promises to be a destination where it will be good to live, both for living and for walking.
